Many of our scholarships are different from scholarships offered at the high schools.  This information is updated periodically, so please continue to check back for updates.  Visit our office for more details and assistance.

South Carolina State Scholarships

Palmetto Fellows
Up to $6,700 in the first year with possibility of enhancement based on courses taken
Eligibility Requirements: 1200 SAT or 27 ACT plus 3.5 GPA and top 6% class rank in 10th, 11th, or 12th grade OR 1400 SAT or 32 ACT plus 4.0 GPA
Available at public and private 4-year institutions

LIFE (4-year college)
Up to $5,000 in the first year with possibility of enhancement based on major
Eligibility Requirements:  Two of these three:  3.0 final GPA, 1100 SAT or 24 ACT, final rank in top 30%
Available at public and private 4-year institutions

LIFE (2-year college)
Up to the cost of tuition plus $300 book allowance
Eligibility Requirements:  3.0 final GPA
Available at public and private 2-year institutions

Hope
Up to $2,800 the first year with possibility of LIFE for the next three years
Eligibility Requirements:  3.0 final GPA

Lottery Tuition Assistance
Portion of tuition (depends on available funding)
Eligibility Requirements:  Be a SC resident, enrolled in at least six credit hours toward a program, make satisfactory progress toward program requirements, and file a FAFSA
Available at public and private 2-year institutions

Eligibility Requirements:  High school seniors living within 25 miles of Wellmore of Lexington, no GPA requirement, 600-1,000 word essay, application, transcript.

SC Association of Title I Administrators Scholarship
$2,000/$1,000
Eligibility Requirements:  Applicant must be eligible for free, reduced, or paid lunch based on current USDA eligibility criteria, enrolled in an accredited SC high school, meet entrance requirements of an approved post-secondary institution, application, typed narrative (600-750 words), letters of recommendation (teacher and principal), transcript.

SAFE Federal Credit Union Scholarship
$1,000
Eligibility Requirements:  Student to further their education at a university, college or trade school in SC, financial need, application, must be able to attend Annual Meeting in Sumter on March 18th, student must be a SAFE member or become one.

Harry Hampton Scholarship
$5,000 (4 years, $5,000 per year)
Eligibility Requirements:  Students in the natural resources disciplines of wildlife biology, fisheries biology, forestry, or marine science, online application, essay/autobiography, transcript, recent photo.  (NOTE: Agriculture, general biology, pre-medical biology and veterinary science are NOT eligible for this scholarship.)

4-year scholarship for undergraduate tuition and fees at institution of recipients choice in SC

South Carolina Association of Extension Administrative Professionals

Eligibility Requirements:  minimum B GPA, resident of South Carolina, pursuing associate or baccalaureate degree in administrative office technology, accounting, business management, or business administration field, transcript, two letters of recommendation, list of extracurricular activities, one-page essay stating applicant’s need for scholarship and career goals.

Elaine and Ellison Kaiser Health Science or Agriculture Scholarship

50 scholarships to be awarded statewide – $1,500 per year for four years (4-year institution), or $1,500 per year for two years (2-year institution)

George Rogers Foundation First in Family Scholarship
